If your Smart Aerofryer does not connect to Wi-Fi then this can be caused by a few factors. This article consists of the following parts;
Wi-Fi frequency
Check your router
Check your internet connection
Disable your VPN connection
1. Wi-Fi frequency
There are commonly 2 frequencies for Wi-Fi networks; 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The Smart Aerofryer works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. If you cannot seem to connect your product, it may be that your router's Wi-Fi network is set up to only use 5 GHz. Check your router's settings to enable the 2.4 GHz network.
NOTE
There are commonly 2 frequencies for Wi-Fi networks; 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The Smart Aerofryer works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. If you cannot seem to connect your product, it may be that your router's Wi-Fi network is set up to only use 5 GHz. Check your router's settings to enable the 2.4 GHz network.
Usually your router uses the same Wi-Fi name (SSID) for both 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks, so in your list of available Wi-Fi networks you may still only see one network. Both the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz network can be active during setup of your Smart Aerofryer. Since the Smart Aerofryer only works on 2.4 GHz it will also not show the 5 GHz network as an available option to connect to during setup.
2. Check your router
Check the label on the back of your router. There it might show you the name(s) of the Wi-Fi network(s) that it has set up and if it has a different name for the 2.4 GHz network. If your router has a different name for the 2.4 GHz network, then this is the network you should connect your Smart Aerofryer to.
3. Check your internet connection
If you have no active internet connection, the HomeWizard Kitchen App will not be able to link your Smart Aerofryer to your HomeWizard account. Please check if you have an active internet connection before starting the setup.
It might be that your phone is still connected to the Smart Aerofryer's Wi-Fi network due to a failed first connection attempt. Unplug the Smart Aerofryer, then go into your phone's Wi-Fi settings and connect to your home Wi-Fi network. Plug the Smart Aerofryer back in and try the setup again.
4. Disable your VPN connection
Disable your VPN connection on your phone if you have one enabled. The Smart Aerofryer and your phone have to communicate locally over your Wi-Fi network during setup and VPN connections prevent this from happening.
After setup you can enable your VPN connection again.
Unsupported configurations
The following configurations are not supported by the Smart Aerofryer:
Guest networks
Enterprise-level security (EAP)
5 GHz networks
Wi-Fi names (SSIDs) with more than 31 characters
Wi-Fi networks with no password
Hidden networks
