We've found that most issues with our electric barbecues are caused by the manual not being followed correctly. To help you further, we'd like to highlight a few common points:

  • Barbecue won't turn on: This often happens when the BBQ is not assembled correctly. The safety switch must be properly engaged for the barbecue to power on. If this switch isn't pressed, or if the small plastic pin breaks during assembly or storage, the unit may not function. (Attached is a video showing how the safety switch turn on, with the click heard). (Attached is a video showing how the safety switch turns on, with the click heard).

  • Short circuit or power issue: These usually occur when the barbecue is plugged into a power circuit that's already overloaded. We also strongly advise against using extension cords or cable reels, as they can overheat and cause electrical problems or even damage the unit.

  • Overheating: This can occur because you have not put any or not enough water in the fat collection tray under the heating element. If there is not enough water in here, the heat element may overheat.

Barbecue not heating enough:

  • 1: In some cases, the heating element simply needs more time to fully warm up.

  • 2: If your set includes a windscreen, it should always be used for best performance.

  • 3: Please keep in mind that electrical barbecues typically don't get as hot as charcoal grills, so the cooking experience may differ.

Important:

If you do use a cable reel, always make sure it is fully unrolled to avoid overheating. Also, the cable must be thick enough to handle the power load. However, our recommendation is to plug the barbecue directly into a wall socket without using any extension devices.
